WAITING for CHRIST

Habakkuk 2:3

King James Version

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come,

it will not tarry.

Being born again is the coolest thing.

And nothing can be compared to it.

At least, nothing that the world can offer.

You can have your face, fame, and fortune.

This born again watchman would rather wait on, and for CHRIST.

For that glorious day when He shall appear in the clouds.

What has been popularly termed as the "Rapture":

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

King James Version

16 For the Lord himself

shall descend from heaven

with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them

in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

So, what does a born again do?

We repent of our sins.

We sin no more.

We accept JESUS CHRIST as our Savior.

We share His gospel of salvation.

We listen to the HOLY SPIRIT, Who teaches us about The Triune GOD.

We heed the commands of the LORD JESUS.

We sit at the LORD's feet, listening to His every WORD.

We remain childlike -- full of cheer, hope, faith, and love.

We carry our cross, and follow JESUS.

We endure to the end.

The world cannot offer us anything we don't already have.

The HOLY SPIRIT lives in us.

Our bodies are His temple.

We are His church.

We await the LORD's return for His church.

After which, we follow Him, at His SECOND Coming.

What could be more fulfilling than that?

No amount of worldly success can outshadow the promise of the Rapture.

What good are wealth, stature, and possessions if we don't become part of the Rapture?

1 Timothy 6:7

King James Version

7 For we brought nothing into this world,

and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

No person, in their right mind, would want to be here during the terrible Tribulation.

All, in their right mind, would want to be with the LORD.

Be ready.

Be prepared.

As JESUS said:

Matthew 24:36

King James Version

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man,

no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Matthew 24:37-39

King James Version

37 But as the days of Noah were,

so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood

they were eating and drinking,

marrying and giving in marriage,

until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came,

and took them all away; so shall also

the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:40-42

King James Version

40 Then shall two be in the field;

the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill;

the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore:

for ye know not what hour

your Lord doth come.

Wonder not, therefore, why the true born again smiles, waiting for JESUS, like an expectant child.

Looking to the sky every once so often, and seeing the myriad changes therein.

Like this workman came home from work yesterday, and something about the sky had changed.

GOD made sure I looked at the sky at that EXACT moment.

And what a glorious, magnificent sky it was!

All the pastel colors one can imagine.

The rays of the sun was peeking between the clouds, radiating strongly, and widely, to the earth below.

I had never seen that before.

Was JESUS to come soon?

Will I finally hear THAT voice?

Will I hear THAT trumpet?

I dearly hope so.

John 10:27-28

King James Version

27 My sheep hear my voice,

and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life

and they shall never perish,

neither shall any man pluck them

out of my hand.
